I recommend having another person there with you who has experience with buying homes, to help you find a company who will be first time buyer friendly. I do not recommend going through this process alone. Expect a lot of paperwork and gift funds letters that will be need to be signed if family is going to help you. It’s pretty tiring and stressful, never ending. I was doing paperwork up till 3 hours of closing. Make sure to stick with the 1st number given to you, the next number of closing costs and DO NOT let them raise it 500$ more 3 hours before closing since final number should be confirmed with final closing papers. I say go with whoever your real estate agent recommends. As a first time buyer just be careful, my real estate agents said things should’ve never been this difficult. I wouldn’t recommend this bank, ask your real estate agent first.

My experience with neighbors bank was 2 sided. The closing team were VERY difficult to work with and continuously asking for ridiculous items!! Like PROVE how you fixed a well problem even after the test came back good!! Also repeatedly asking for bank transactions over and over after already having them, delaying my closing several times!! On the other hand, Drew was my loan officer and he was AMAZING!! He was there for me at every bump in the road and continuously helped me and guided me!! I literally could not have done this without him, and he deserves a raise for all he does!! He truly was the BEST!!
