Can I deposit cash into my savings account?

No. We don't accept cash deposits. Here are the accepted ways to add money to your account:

  • Remote check deposit using your mobile device
  • Online transfers from other bank accounts (daily and per item limit of $50,000)
  • Wire Transfer
  • Direct deposit

Why do I need to provide my login for my other bank's online banking?

To make transfers easier, we use a secure service called Plaid to connect your external accounts.

This allows us to quickly verify that the account belongs to you without delays.

If you'd rather not use Plaid or run into issues connecting, no problem. We can use microdeposits to verify your account instead.

What are microdeposits, and how do I verify them?

Microdeposits are small test transactions (usually less than $1) sent to your external bank account to confirm it belongs to you.

Here's how it works:

  • You'll see a couple of small deposits (and matching withdrawals) within 1-3 business days
  • Once they appear, we'll ask you to confirm the amounts

If you don't see them after a few days, it could be a simple typo in the account info. Please contact customer service at 1-833-514-4190.

I forgot my password. What now?

On the online banking login screen or in your Neighbors Bank banking app, click "Reset Password" and follow the steps to reset it.

If you run into any issues, we're happy to help.

What if my mobile phone is lost or stolen?

If your phone is lost or stolen, contact your mobile carrier right away.

Your account is still protected by your login credentials, but for extra peace of mind, you can call us at 1-833-514-4190 to reset your login or temporarily freeze your account.

How soon does my Neighbors Bank savings account need to be funded?

If your account isn't funded within 31 days, it will automatically close

How do I deposit a check?

You can deposit a check right from your phone using the mobile app:

  • Log in and select "Mobile Deposits"
  • Choose your account
  • Enter the check amount (up to $10,000 per day)
  • Endorse the check with:
"For Mobile Deposit Only to Neighbors Bank" and sign your name
  • Take photos of the front and back
  • Submit

When is my money available to me after I deposit a check?

In most cases:

  • Deposits made before 3 PM CT are available the same day
  • Deposits made after 3 PM CT are available the next business day

In some cases, additional delays may apply based on our Funds Availability Policy.

How do I transfer money to another account at another bank?
