Neighbors Bank was A+ from the start. Our first phone call was made and we spoke to a DeeDee. She got what information she needed on her end and then we were connected to a loan officer. When Tim came in the picture, he was so helpful. We had had other dealings with other banks and no one could get the job done. When it came to Neighbors Bank, they work led their magic from day 1. We are so grateful for all they did for us! Thank you for everything Neighbors Bank.

I don't have any regrets working with neighbors bank or using their reality and insurance referrals.As a first time buyer, they all really took the time to make sure I understood every step. They tried to minimize the hassle of all the required documents they need by not asking for repeat documents abundantly. They took time to help remove obstacles or advised me on the best course of action to remove those obstacles. I never once felt alone in any aspect of my home buying process.

I understand there is risk in today's economy, but people like myself with a 780 credit score and a 6 figure job, shouldn't have to report on every dollar in my back account. You are either approved or you are not.

The start of my process seemed very transparent my loan officer was nice and helpful he was always picking up and or answering questions that I had, however towards the end of the process I was left in the dark right at closing - phone calls not being returned and then after closing information that was provided that certain fees like HOA and also the down payment assistance that I received where both fees that I was assured were all included in my mortgage. Being a first time home buyer there are so many things you don’t understand or know when looking at documents so you trusted the words of the lender and realtor. To find that neither of those things are in my mortgage through me for a loop especially being a single parent of two, so I would have to say that was so miss leading after me asking so many questions during this entire process those being the main ones - fees were extreme compared to other banks and the closing interest rate was pretty high. Almost 2 percent more than the national average right now I only choose this lender because they offered down payment assistance something that I thought would be so helpful to me to have to not come out of pocket with a lot that I didn’t really have and instead it would of been better just continue to save and not get the assistance and move forward with another company by the end I would have spent well over what I needed to just by the interest on the down. Payment assistance and not to mention the interest rate and keep in mind none of this is provided until you have a home that is under contract so it’s not like you would even know until the ball is rolling .. good luck this has been my experience
