Took 4 months to try and buy this house when I asked about a dramatic increase in the cost in points i was ignored the first time second time I was told they would look into it and they never got back to me whenever I asked questions they would respond days later if not a week later

The close date was over 2 weeks late. Neighbors bank was not prepared. That isn’t acceptable to me. I could have lost the house we wanted.

The rates are higher than average, even for someone with good credit. Communication at the preapproval process was great, but once I had an accepted offer communication from the loan coordinator was lacking. I was asked a few days before my planned closing date for documents I had uploaded nearly two weeks prior. Clear to close came too close to planned closing and we had to sit around waiting at closing for the funds from Neighbors Bank wire to be received.

Josh left on vacation twice during our time to get things together. His assistant asked for the same documents over and over and never explained what she needed. I was always asking for updates and getting very little response if any at all. They did next to nothing for 3 weeks and then the day we originally were supposed to close they really started working on our financing. For being the number 3 USDA company i had a bad experience

The loan process was incredibly straight-forward and all of our worries about down payment costs, and types of loans available were taken care of for us as soon as we mentioned them. Mr. Cooper was incredibly responsive, and was very pleasant to work with when I needed to call and ask about uncertainties. Whether it was a question about something on our paperwork, questions about estimations and costs, or confirmations that I was understanding something properly, he was always happy to help and easy to reach. Overall working with Neighbor's Bank was very seamless and took a lot of stress off our shoulders!

Their kind words of encouragement and support really helped me through all my feelings. This was a tough sale due to the selling party but their willingness to not give up on me and my dream of owning a home was one of the best parts of working with them. When I would get stressed or anxious, I could always count on Heather Yackley to come to my rescue and make everything make sense again.We would most definitely recommend NB and will use them again in the future if we ever decide to leave our lake house!!
