I would absolutely recommend Neighbors Bank to anyone starting the home buying process! From start to finish everyone I talked to was so kind and knowledgeable, answered all of my questions clearly and promptly, and the whole dashboard in the Neighbors Bank portal made the document upload and management portion of the loan/underwriting process so easy and stress free.

Melissa and abbie were amazing!! They made my whole family's dream come true. When i was turned down by other banks and companies many of which wouldn't even give me the light of day, neighbors bank and melissa worked hard to get through all the hurdles in my credit file because it was not the best. I had a period of bad behavior that damages my credit but i had been working on it and the credit department with neighbors helped me clear some things up and told me what to say and do with these collections people, they got stuff done in one phone call that i had been trying to do for years on my own. Melissa reassured me even though we had hurdles to jump we were still moving forward with the buying process. They really came through for me in the nic of time. I had a landlord that didnt pay taxes on the property we were renting and the guy dissappeared and the house is being sold at auction next month. The house we lived in was also in bad condition and we needed to move but rent is to high right now and a mortgage and buying our own place was more practical and now i have secured housing for my 3 boys one of which is handicapped and wont have to ever worry about housing for him and we can put down roots and my kids wont be moved from coty to city and school to school like my husband and i were. They are amazing and i truly love them for everything they did for a mom of 3 with a disabled husband and child plus 2 younger boys. I would give them 12 stars out of 10

GARRETT WAS AWESOM. HE IS AN ASSET TO YOUR COMPANY. I WILL RECOMEND HIM AND NEIGHBORS BANK TO ANYONE THAT HINTS AT WANTING A HOME. HE KEPT ME INFORMED EVEN WHEN HUD DIDNT KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. WOKING WITH HIM HAS BEEN A PLEASURE!THE ASSISTANT TO GARRETT, RENEE WHILE KNOWLEDGEABLE, IN SOME AREAS NEEDS TO BE RETRAINED IN CUSTOMER SERVICE, RESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS, AVOIDING MAKING SITUATIONS HIGH CONFLICT, LYING TO THE CUSTOMER WHEN AT FAULT, AND LACK OF ATTENTIVENESS, CAN CLEARLY USE SOME ATTENTION. I CAME VERY CLOSE TO LEAVING NEIGHBORS BECAUSE OF HER. BUT IT WAS GARRETT THAT REASSURED ME AND LISTENED TO OUR GREIVANCES. EVEN WHEN I TOLD RENEE TO NO LONGER CONTACE ME SHE CHOSE TO DO SO BY YELLING AND SCREAMING AT ME THROUGH THE PHONE. SHE IS UNSCHOOLED & UNTAUGHT. SHE WILL BE THE PROBLEM WHEN IT COMES TO CUSTOMER LOSS!

Neighbors Bank approved my loan in few days not weeks. Their process is transparent and they beat the other banks rate. I highly recommend Neighbors Bank.

Neighbors bank is good for a good rate and has a neat online platform. However they have a lot of work to do to make the home-buying experience better. They need to make a tool to figure out what the best option would be for your mortgage payment/closing costs/points/credits etc that would have eliminated many of the trouble that I had with them. Their staff also need to be better trained.

If you’re a first time homebuyer, talk with a loan officer at NB and see what they can do for you. They will tell you everything you need honestly, and be there for you every step of the way. I had a wonderful home buying experience with them. There were some bumps and technicalities I had to deal with, with the type of loan I got, but I knew where I stood at all times, and I got the house I wanted! I strongly recommend this lender. The only thing between you owning a home is Neighbors Bank!
