They lay out everything needed to be approved for the loan, they give you a list of what you need to provide and the website looks modern and uploaded my documents immediately, I highly recommend using them

Neighbors Bank is an absolute nightmare to work with. Their disorganization and lack of communication made my home loan process a miserable experience that dragged on for weeks longer than it should have. They repeatedly asked for the same paperwork over and over again because they were seemingly incapable of keeping track of what had already been provided. Requests for documents came at the last minute and with no notice, sabotaging closing dates. Their staff is completely unresponsive - phone calls and emails go unanswered. On my final closing date, it was delayed yet again because the loan officer was at a hair appointment and the underwriter decided to go to lunch instead of ensuring they had everything needed from me. Their excuse was a "technical glitch" which I don't buy for one second. Buying a home is Already stressful enough without a lender like Neighbors Bank severely compounding the problems through sheer incompetence and carelessness. Avoid them at all costs unless you want your loan process to become a-months-long headache. With their abysmal communication and organization, I'm shocked they can operate at all.

Poor/lack of communication from the very beginning. Would only get calls back after threatening through email. There was a "glitch" in their system that would not record my signing of documents. Funny thing was that I was never given documents to sign. They kept sending me the same "review documents" instead of "sign documents". This left me in the dark for 2 weeks. Finally, my realtor had to call the manager before anything was done about it. Suddenly, there was a huge rush to get things done. What a freaking nightmare!

I was overall happy with the buying process. I believe communication with the underwriter could use a little improvement as my wife was still put on the paperwork even though I said not to. The paperwork for signing had to be rewritten the day of signing which delayed the process slightly but we all make mistakes. The big issue is it has been 12 days since signing and the insurance company hasn't received a check yet and is now threatening to drop me already even though I paid in full the day of signing as per closing costs. Also interest rates could use a lot of improvement. I'll see if the insurance issue will be resolved and if I'm offered a lower rate at a later date and will reevaluate at a later date.

I found neighbors bank through USDA.gov website. Read a few reviews and didn’t over think it. Glad I went with them. They guided me to success in my USDA home loan approval in just the right time for a house that checked all my boxes.
