Honest, transparent, competitive, and supportive throughout the home buying process.
My husband and I loved the experience we had here at Neighbors Bank. Marissa and her team were great. They kept us informed each step of the way, always answered our questions quickly, and were extremely patient with us. I would recommend Neighbors Bank to our friends AND family!
Everyone at Neighbors bank was excellent. They were updating me on the to do list, explaining what they need and why, and very polite and professional.

Some of the stuff the underwriting needed was just not necessary. The loan officers don’t return calls or emails. They was some what helpful. They didn’t seem like they cared if I could this loan or not.

I had a prequalified letter then when it came to closing I had to rush and pay another debt off before I could close. This information made no sense since I had a prequalified letter. So neighbors bank cost me more money. I asked several times to speak to a supervisor and no one ever called me. I was going to be homeless because of the situation but i rushed and paid what I needed to, to get to the closing table within the contracted amount of time. If I hadn’t had made an offer on a home I would have looked at a different mortgage company.
Thank you for sharing your experience, and I’m truly sorry for the stress and unexpected costs you faced so close to closing. I understand how upsetting it must have been to receive a prequalification letter, only to be told later you had to pay off debt urgently—with no clear explanation and no response to your requests for a supervisor. That’s not the level of support you should have received.

They were very communiticive through the whole process. The whole experience was great!
I came across Neighbors Bank online by chance. I applied online and received an immediate response. Chris Whitt helped us with every step of the process from the first minute. He is truly an expert and a legend in his field. My advice to first-time homebuyers like me is to absolutely trust Chris Whitt, John Wilson and their team. You will never regret it.

I never actually spoke with loan coordinator or officer directly over phone. It was through email like we were texting buddies. Never knew what was going on. Had to wait hours for replies

Relying only on emails, with long delays and no real connection, is not the experience we want for our borrowers.

Our loan officer Andrew Barlow was super awesome! Always friendly and willing to answer anytime I had any questions no matter how small my concern was!
