I loved how helpful they are. They were able to answer my questions before I even had to ask them. They were quick about getting back to me. They notified me about every documentation they requested and helped me get the proper information. They helped me write letters to the underwriters, get discounts, and explained all the rates and fees. Jennifer Brown was informative, efficient and quick. If I could change anything I would ask that they let the buyers know when they will be out of office so I knew who to contact directly but I bought my home during the holidays so it was nice to get into my home before Christmas. I felt supported and important to the employees at neighbors bank.

My home buying journey started almost 2 years ago. You could call it an extraordinary experience. I never knew how challenging it could be until I started the journey on my own. I was tired of renting and worrying about how long I would have before I would have to leave so the next tenant could move in or the owners needed their home back. I begin living in my home in 2019 not knowing this would be my first home purchase. There were many challenges along the way including: Working hard and diligent on getting my credit repaired and where it needed to be, learning not to make reckless choices with that ever again because your credit score is so important and will have a huge impact on many things you do in life. The next challenge was the big hail storm that hit our town in 2024 after I had already started the journey of purchasing. Windows shattered into pieces and houses torn up like rags I was devastated. However, there are always things that happen for a reason. We took a break due to the circumstances and decided to start over in 2025. I thought for sure the second time around it would be quick and smooth. Time proved that I was wrong in that aspect, there would still be many challenges I would face starting over again. There were times where I thought maybe I am not meant to be a home owner yet why are there so many obstacles? Everyone else that I know that has bought a home makes it seem easy. The thing about me is that I never quit, and there is a little voice in my head that loves a challenge, so I kept going... There were times I shed many tears, anger and doubt but I kept going step by step... one at a time... until I reached the top of the hill and here I am typing this as I sit in MY HOME. What joy and relief it is to be where I am at now. I am proud of myself for not giving up. So if your thinking of buying a home be ready for challenges along the way , but remember you must not quit for what you want because in the end it is the most rewarding.

Derek and Abbie were pretty much a dream team through the purchase of my first home. They set realistic expectations, were thorough with their explanation of the process, and we always there with an answer for inquiries I'd submit. The beginning of my home buying process was complicated by not knowing where it was exactly that I wanted to buy, but Derek enthusiastically helped connect me with trusted realtors in my areas of interest, and was always happy to crunch numbers on properties I liked to help keep me in my financial lane. Neighbors Bank's online loan application portal made the process of sharing all needed documentation a breeze. Derek and Abbie had even pointed me in the direction of a reputable insurance agent who I was able to get home and auto insurance quotes from that beat the pants off the competitors. Once I was given the "cleared to close" green light, the remainder of the process couldn't have gone more smoothly. Derek and Abbie provided regular encouraging feedback the whole way through. Between them and my realtor, I felt part of a team, hell bent to help me turn the keys on my first home. I can't recommend Neighbors Bank highly enough. They are second to none!
