I really thought it was a long shot when I applied for a home loan through neighbors bank. I was initially denied but Ethan gave me detailed instructions on what I needed to get cleared off my credit and a plan to increase my credit score. He was so incredibly helpful and supportive! And within just a few short months I was approved!! I’m still in shock but living in and absolutely loving my new home thanks to all of the lending team that walked me through the steps of owning my first home. I can’t thank this bank enough!!

The team at Neighbors Bank is the most committed, devoted, loyal, steadfast, unwavering, etc., team I have ever talked to. Working with Nathan Groves at Neighbors Bank was one of the best parts of our home-buying experience. Since we chose not to use a realtor, there were a lot of moving pieces and questions throughout the process, and Nathan consistently stepped in to help explain things that honestly went beyond what a lender is required to do. He was extremely responsive, patient, and knowledgeable from start to finish. Whether it was helping us understand timelines, paperwork, closing steps, or what to expect next, he made sure we never felt lost during the process. It never felt transactional — he genuinely cared about making sure everything went smoothly and that we understood what was happening at every stage. Buying a home without a realtor can feel overwhelming at times, but Nathan made the experience far less stressful. I’d highly recommend Nathan Groves and Neighbors Bank to anyone looking for a lender who goes above and beyond for their clients.

The entire loan process was a breeze, even when I was feeling bogged down (I work overnights) and ready to give up my loan officer Cecil talked me down and showed me it wasn’t nearly as stressful as I had thought. Can’t recommend Neighbor’s Bank and Cecil highly enough! Special shout out to Becca and Rob my loan officers, Becca got me started on this whole journey and Rob helped see it through I’m now a homeowner thanks to their amazing help!!!

I have to be honest, communication in the start of the loan process was outstanding. However once we went under contract it was radio silence. I never made a call that was answered or returned. I sent text and emails that went unanswered. The only person who stayed in contact was my realtor, Carrie Pannell! Had it not been for her I don’t think we would have made it to closing.
