Some of the stuff the underwriting needed was just not necessary. The loan officers don’t return calls or emails. They was some what helpful. They didn’t seem like they cared if I could this loan or not.

I had a prequalified letter then when it came to closing I had to rush and pay another debt off before I could close. This information made no sense since I had a prequalified letter. So neighbors bank cost me more money. I asked several times to speak to a supervisor and no one ever called me. I was going to be homeless because of the situation but i rushed and paid what I needed to, to get to the closing table within the contracted amount of time. If I hadn’t had made an offer on a home I would have looked at a different mortgage company.

I understand how upsetting it must have been to receive a prequalification letter, only to be told later you had to pay off debt urgently—with no clear explanation and no response to your requests for a supervisor. That’s not the level of support you should have received.

I came across Neighbors Bank online by chance. I applied online and received an immediate response. Chris Whitt helped us with every step of the process from the first minute.
